Today would have been Tomas Disch's birthday, and to celebrate the sci-fi poet (and author of The Brave Little Toaster!), The Paris Review reminds us all of his fantastic 1986 text-based video game: Amnesia. The idea of an interactive novel might seem quaint, but perhaps its actually an idea that deserves some serious development. Maybe this could help with literacy? It seems like a way to spark the interest of both children and adults... And wouldn't a more educated public be a great posthumous gift?
